Review: Great choice of designs, well priced for 100% wool throw, good size. - Beautiful, big, tartan throw blanket. Fits on our double bed over winter, will also fit on a family sofa, can also take out for a summer picnic. Large number of designs to choose from and reasonable price considering what you're getting. Please be careful when laundering pure wool blankets - here are some suggestions to keep them in tip top condition... Caring for a pure wool throw requires gentle handling to maintain its softness and shape. Here are the recommended steps for laundering: Airing and Spot Cleaning Air Regularly: Shake out your throw to remove dust and hang it in a well-ventilated area. This helps refresh the fibers and reduces the need for frequent washing. Spot Clean: For minor stains, use a mixture of mild detergent and lukewarm water. Gently blot the stained area with a soft cloth, avoiding any scrubbing to prevent damage. Washing Techniques Hand Washing: If washing by hand, use cold water and a wool-specific detergent. Gently agitate the water without wringing the fabric to avoid felting. Machine Washing: If the label indicates it's machine washable, select a delicate wool cycle with cool water. Avoid using standard cycles, as they can cause shrinkage and damage. Drying and Storage Drying: After washing, lay the throw flat on a clean towel to absorb excess water. Avoid hanging it up, as the weight of the wet fabric can stretch the fibers. Keep it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Storage: Store your wool throw in a breathable cotton bag in a cool, dark place. Adding natural moth repellents like cedarwood can help protect it from pests. By following these steps, you can keep your pure wool throw looking beautiful and feeling cozy for years to come.
