I have a GTI Mk5 and used this bit with a Craftsman 1/2" ratchet for the rear brakes. It fits when the bolts are fully inserted but clearance became a problem as the bolts back out. I was not able to get a torque wrench in there so I had to do my best when retightening the bolts.
