What is the blade width?** A: Blade thickness: almost 0.1 in for the hultafors vs 0.08 in for the mora clipper (I don't have the companion but I believe the blade geometry is the same as the clipper(?))Blade width (from edge to spine/back at its widest/base): 0.72 in for the hultafors vs 0.8 in for the mora clipperThe tang in the Hultafors goes to about half into the handle (checked with a magnet). **Q: Does this knife float?** A: No it doesn't float and it also rusts like crazy. Not the perfect knife for boating. **Q: Is the handle hard plastic or grippy rubber?** A: Hard plastic. More grip can be had by placing a peice of bike inner tube around the handle.
