The orange handle will help spot it in the grass if you put it down but this being as sharp as it is you wouldn't want to lose it. Comes with a good sheath that seems super durable. For the price im going to be getting another one as I think these are useful to have in your camping gear. Review: Hultafors craftsman - This knife is brilliant. I like it so much and its so cheap, I really want to get another one for no reason other than as a spare- I had to stop myself from ordering the heavy duty one as well as I have no use for it. This knife is heavy duty in my opinion, as well as sharp and very practical. I have a number of knives which are now redundant! Extremely good value for money sturdy and secure sheath and I consider its worth three times the price! In fact, I'll probably find an excuse to buy the whole Hultafors craftsman range before long! One observation - the handle shape is very comfortable and gives a good grip, but the guard (which is ideal for general use) makes this a bit bulky for finer woodcraft work. ## Features - CONTENTS - Craftsman's knife HVK including holster with belt clip. - DIMENSIONS - The knife has a total length of 20.8 cm, including the blade with a length of 9.3 cm. High carbon rusts too easily where I live.** A: Oh great question - Hultafors says the following ... The blade is made from 2.5 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58–60 HRC. So I think you're going to be fine. Hope this helps - Bill / Unified4Adventure **Q: Is the blade wider than the Mora Companion? What is the blade width?** A: Blade thickness: almost 0.1 in for the hultafors vs 0.08 in for the mora clipper (I don't have the companion but I believe the blade geometry is the same as the clipper(?))Blade width (from edge to spine/back at its widest/base): 0.72 in for the hultafors vs 0.8 in for the mora clipperThe tang in the Hultafors goes to about half into the handle (checked with a magnet). **Q: Does this knife float?** A: No it doesn't float and it also rusts like crazy. Not the perfect knife for boating. **Q: Is the handle hard plastic or grippy rubber?** A: Hard plastic. More grip can be had by placing a peice of bike inner tube around the handle. The handle is also MUCH smaller than the GK, I would personally reccomend the gk over the hvk, the heavy duty is much more comfortable to use. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the price this is 100% perfect *by H***2 on 23 March 2026* Fantastic knife that is super sharp. Blade very sharp and is capable of maintaining sharpness - good quality carbon steel. Solid plastic sheath which has nice button attachment, knife snaps in safely and feels secure. Has been used for greenwood carpentry, which I reckon it's perfect for. Not the most beautiful hand- made knife, but a solid, honest, quality product at a very good price. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hultafors Craftmans Knife HVK - Hultafors 380020 GK Heavy Duty Knife - Hultafors 380070U Chisel Knife STK --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/744186507-craftsmans-knife-hvk-gh-i-all-purpose-knife-with-ergonomic](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/744186507-craftsmans-knife-hvk-gh-i-all-purpose-knife-with-ergonomic) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
