The applicator is similar to an eyeliner cream pencil which allows for that great precision and easy application. The color is vibrant and lasts a long time. It does not smudge and it is easy to apply for multiple layers. I have purchased eyeshadow pencils that were way more expensive and nowhere near captured the quality of this Maybelline eyeshadow pencil.
