My Mom (who is almost 80) came for a visit with her friend. I ordered the mattress late, having just gotten over covid I wasn't even sure if I'd be ok by the time they were to come so everything was on pause, and the order went in late. I ordered this because though I do have a cot I did not think it was going to be comfortable enough for my Mom and because she was not able to get upstairs to the guest bedroom she had to stay downstairs. The company immediately shipped right out, which I so appreciate, and though the mattress did not arrive the day they got here it DID arrive exactly the day it noted on the order sheet, and they tried to get it here as fast as possible. My Mom slept (or rather didn't sleep) on the cot the first night, was not very comfortable for her. This mattress showed up the next night, I set it on the sofa/coffee table square, which was exactly the width of the mattress, and two chairs for the end support, sounds awkward but I didn't want her to have to get down on the floor. I also ordered the fitted sheet, fits like a glove and well made, also ordered the storage case for the XL mattress, fits like a glove and no dog hair or dust getting on it. Back to the comfort.. so I set the mattress up for my Mom, it was about normal bed level, I laid on it myself to test, felt like a dream, got it ready, my Mom got on it and told me it was SO comfortable she thinks she was asleep before I even got upstairs!! She did not toss and turn at all because it held her so comfortably, making this daughter SO happy because it was my Mom's first time at my new house and I wanted her trip to be great. She slept on the mattress the next 2 nights she was here, slept like a baby each time. The tri-fold is not noticeable at all, did not separate, was absolutely PERFECT, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat! I will be taking this mattress, instead of my cot, to my Mom's if I bring a friend along. The next morning after her first night, she was amazed at how well she had slept, and night after night, she slept wonderfully. By the time she left, she was taking notes about what the brand is and where to buy it, and walked out of here cursing the air beds that she reserves for her guests. While sad to see her go, I was exhilarated to get right back to it, on the floor, with my big dog. I am about to buy more. I highly recommend this. Cost me 12.99 (when i bought them). They are good stock, I've had both mattresses in the bags for 2 months, tested the bags April 1st to check the expansion rate and they expand like the first time out of the box. I got the bag comfortably down to 36x24x8. Con. I ripped the first bag, which i expected to happen, but thankfully i was able to secure the remaining bags successfully. I had to squeez the mattress a bit to get it in the bag, then i had to squeeze the bag a bit to get the zipper to close. *Don't press to hard or you'll bust the bag as i did, also be careful of the bottom as there is a fold open "flat" bottom. **Q: Can you sleep on the floor with it? Like can you use it as a standalone bed?** A: #1. Concrete slabs hold moisture from the ground. So if you put this down on the floor it could possibly get mold between it and the floor. However, an easy way to solve that is get a box of borax (like the kind you wash clothes with) and sprinkle it on the floor everywhere that you will lay the mattress down. Borax is not harmful, it's natural, but just creates a environment that is a mild base pH level. Mold must have a neutral to slightly acidic environment to grow. Borax is a natural/cheap way to ever prevent mold growth. Many boat companies use it in marine grade carpet and other materials on boats. So just sprinkle some down on the floor liberally, make sure to cover the area slightly larger than the mattress, then throw the mattress down over it and sweep up any excess. Problem solved. **Q: On the parts where it folds, does it feel like there's a gap under your shoulder or is it pretty seamless when laying on it?** A: we got a nice mattress topper, so I dont think any of our guests have ever noticed gaps. Also, we got the associated heavy duty bag that fits it like a glove. I slide it all over the place in the bag without having to worry about damaging the mattress. I can't use a cot (even an extra wide one) and I don't dare use an air mattress - if it leaked during the night, I'd be SOL, just like I was with my extra wide cot that I sank in during the night and couldn't get out of!!! What a horrible experience! I luckily found this Milliard mattress online and spent quite awhile reading other reviews. After reading one review in particular, I decided to buy the 6" Twin Extra Long Mattress along with a Twin Extra Long PragmaBed Simple Base Bi-fold frame . . . I am now in CAMPING HEAVEN!!! Finally, I can go camping again in my new tent and not have to worry about sleeping accommodations. The 6" mattress is AWESOME and folds in thirds which takes up less space than a real twin mattress (only thing is, I wish it had its own carrying bag, which it doesn't .... so I'll have to make one myself) - I still LOVE the mattress. It is TOTALLY comfortable (firm but not hard) - better than my own bed and it definitely holds my weight well, whether I'm on my back or my side - it's great! I'm so glad I found this mattress, and I highly recommend it for anyone who goes camping - THROW THOSE AIR MATTRESSES AWAY - You won't ever need to worry about waking up on the ground again - This mattress is PERFECT and goes along perfectly with the Pragma folding bed frame, which sits 14" off the floor (you'll need a rug underneath the entire frame just so the posts don't rip your tent floor). Both products are AWESOME and will make your camping life so much better. They both fold up and go nicely in the back of a Truck or an SUV. The mattress would probably fit in the trunk of a car, but with nothing else inside. The mattress size when folded is 38" long x 18" deep x 26" high. The frame might be a little too big depending on how large your trunk is (the frame is strong and sturdy yet lightweight). HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Milliard 6" mattress - I wouldn't go anything less than the 6". Also when I opened the box and cut the plastic away, the compressed mattress started forming to shape almost immediately (it's amazing how it does that) and there wasn't really any smell to it. What little there was went away by the next morning. I can't say enough about this 6" mattress - It's more than PERFECT. Milliard just needs to make a carrying case to go along with the bag and sell it separately for those of us who just need to buy the bag. LOVE THIS PRODUCT - LOVE LOVE LOVE.
