I use the gray side, which has staples showing on the corners of the wooden frame, so it's not ideal. The other two flaws are that the letters don't stay in the board well (the clips to hold them in are very short, and some break off easily), and there is not a built-in way to hang the frames. I ended up sticking a metal wall hanger thing into the backside to hold it up against my desk wall, but it's not stable.
