A: It is over 95% plastic.  It looks like there may be a few pieces of metal, the axles on the tractor and trailer, for example.

**Q: Is the gravity cart mostly die cast ?**
A: I can't tell you 100% because it is rugby now at my son's grandparents' house but I'm 80% sure it is...

**Q: What are the dimensions of the backhoe?**
A: The backhoe is in exact scale as the truck itself. It is 5 inches long altogether. This truck and backhoe are very precise in detail, well made and durable. It is a bit pricey- but more than well with the money.

**Q: Can the truck be steered?**
A: No not by the steering wheel
