This is my opinion only. I'm tired of all these "biased" reviews. Anyway, I recently purchased this headlamp from Amazon and I couldn't be happier. I do a lot of mountaineering and have used many other headlamps (Petzl, Coleman, etc.) and for the money, this lamp can't be beat. It may not stand up to hardcore use but for for hiking, running, working on the car it should be perfect. Fits comfortably, feels well made, and it is very, very bright. While the description says "waterproof" I would say it's more "water resistant". I'm sure it will do fine in the rain but I wouldn't submerge it. I would highly recommend getting one of these and keeping it in your car instead of a flashlight. Also I would suggest getting the extra 4 pack of batteries & charger to go with this, that way you could charge up all the batteries and swap them out when needed. Again, for the money, you can't go wrong with this headlamp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BATTERIES DON'T FIT, headlamp is uncomfortable, no flood setting - otherwise a bright and versatile headlamp *by G***N on July 14, 2016* Overall, this headlamp is a good value and unless it catches fire or quits working as some have reported it should provide years of service.The good: - The lights are super bright - The charging options are many and if you already use 18650s with other devices this will be a great addition to your collection - It seems somewhat durableThe bad: - It is uncomfortable. The front piece doesn't seem like it's made to go on a forehead. - The batteries did not work in this device. They are good batteries but do not have a normal post on the + side so that the + terminal of the battery does not make sufficient connection. Fortunately I have other 18650 batteries that do and I used them instead and will use these batteries for something else. KEEP THIS IN MIND--the batteries that ship with the lamp MAY NOT FIT PROPERLY. - It has 3 modes: center lamp, side lamps, all lamps, and all lamps blinking. The center lamp is basically a spot light with a little bit of flood. The center lamps are spot lights. There is no way to adjust the light to provide better flood lighting. The additional two lamps on the side don't serve much of a purposeUPDATE 7/18/2016:The seller contacted me and made it right regarding the batteries. I understand things like this happen--no problem. I have used this at night in the country and have found that the center lamp is a combo flood lamp with a bright spot in the middle while the outer lamps are almost completely pinpoint spotlights. The inner lamp is a bright cool white while the outer lamps are a little warmer. It is super duper bright. I have also experimented with the strap adjustments to make it feel more comfortable on my head. It still doesn't feel as comfortable as some other options out there (with foam padding, etc.) but for the price it can't be beaten. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright Headlamp *by H***2 on November 30, 2016* I got a smoking deal on this for Black Friday, received it promptly, installed the batteries and charged it up overnight.First, it's incredibly bright, whether it be in low, medium or high mode. I've had several LED headlamps, and this is by far the brightest even with the included rechargeable 2,200 mAh batteries. I like that it included AC, DC and USB chargers as well. Very cool.The only con, if you want to call it that, is that there are no metal parts, other than perhaps some of the internals and screws/bolts that hold the whole thing together. The LED light housings, headband hardware and battery pack housing are all plastic. A portion of the plastic LED light housings are painted silver, perhaps to make it appear as if they are metal, but they are most certainly not metal.For the price I paid, this makes no difference to me but in fairness, the item description states that it's made of metal parts and it clearly is not.
