Is the an external or internal chamfer tool that is required, or both?** A: The external diameter is too large for the connector and so the champfer is tapering that down until it fits. I used a file and sandpaper to taper the hose down and the results seem to be lasting ok. The internal diameter is fine and should not be adjusted. **Q: Is this product UV resistant. It will be permanently loosely coiled on a south facing wall.** A: Sorry can't answer.
