It functions, and the price is great compared with what Apple charges for theirs. Plus, the included instructions are well-written, and the tools are acceptable given the price. That being said, the screen has several shortcomings that keep me from recommending it completely.Pros: - Cheap. A new screen from Apple goes for $150. You can buy a refurbished iPhone 6S here on Amazon for not much more than that. - Image quality is clear. - Touch sensor is accurate, except for 3D touch (more on this later. See cons). - Battery life seems to be the same as with a first-party screen. The screen is one of the most energy-intensive components of a smartphone, so I was concerned that a third party screen might not be very energy-efficient. Fortunately, this one seems to perform just fine (though that might be because it's not very bright. See cons). - The texture is good. It feels about the same as a first-party screen. Some screens and protectors wear on your fingers with prolonged use. This screen is perfect in that regard. - Good assembly instructions. Replacing the screen on an iPhone is not a simple matter. That's not an issue with this screen in particular, but any iPhone screen. The wires inside are delicate and very easy to damage. That being said, the instructions in this kit are both detailed complete. - Included tools and the tools are well-made considering the overall price.Cons: - 3D Touch is almost entirely unusable. This is by far my biggest issue. It's so sensitive that it's nearly impossible to rearrange icons on the home screen. It also significantly hampers the functionality of any app that relies on 3D touch. Adjusting the sensitivity under accessibility options helps some, but not very much. - Brightness. This screen doesn't get nearly as bright as a first-party screen. I use my phone in direct sunlight on a regular basis, so this made my phone much harder to see. That being said, at the lowest settings it also gets much dimmer than an Apple screen. Overall this is a negative for me, but depending on how you use your phone it might be fine. - Fingerprints. Apple's screens have an oleophobic coating, meaning they don't collect oil or grease easily. Fingerprints don't build up quickly, and they're very easy to remove. Not so with this replacement screen. I wipe this thing down constantly because it gets greasy so fast. That never happened with my original screen.Notes: - Color. The color profile of this screen is different from Apple's screens.
