Bonds pretty well to most surfaces and fills gaps, but doesn't set up rock hard and allows a little bit of flexibility. You need clean surfaces and it's best to let it set up for about ten minutes or so before sticking things together. You want it tacky but not skinned over. More forgiving than contact cement and you can move things around a bit after glueing together. Won't replace every gluing application, but is handy for repair of a lot of construction type materials. Works well on masonry as long as you make sure to brush off any loose material first. It isn't recommended for sheet goods or flooring, but it will work pretty well for securing a loose floor tile or similar application. Takes a good 24 - 48 hrs to get to full bonding strength depending on how thickly it's applied. On vertical surfaces, some type of bracing or other way to keep pressure on it will yield the best results. On wood panelling, I like to use it in conjunction with brad nailer to keep the panel tight as it cures. For big jobs you can get it in caulking type tubes, But the can is convenient for small jobs and repairs.
