Install was easy using 6 inch metal, nail like stakes and a hammer. I don't recommend any two pronged stakes, they are weak and just bend. After a year of grandkid playing on it and two large dogs doing zoomies all over it, nothing has begun coming up, no grass has torn. This turf is extremely durable and realistic compared to others. The brown short pieces at the base really help with authenticity. It does not get any hotter than the cement during hot weather. As you can see one of my dogs in the pic is relaxing on a 85 degree day. I buy pet friendly antibacterial turf spray and use it once a month. Sweeps easily. Hoses off easily.
