Yashica Electro 35 GSN with Yashinon DX 35mm f 1.7 45mm Film Camera Manufactured by Yashica, Circa 1973-1977 Serial # H574080 All images are of the current items offered for sale. Yashica Electro 35 GSN has been gently used, very well cared for, and is overall in excellent cosmetic and very clean condition, with very light surface wear including a couple of minor scuffs and marks. Black grain is clean and intact.nAdvance lever moves smoothly, shutter works. Compartment film is clean. Visor is clean and clear, a few dust specks inside. Rangefinder works. Leatherette is in great condition. No cracks, bumps or broken parts, just a couple light marks here and there. Color-Yashinon DX F 1.7 45mm fixed lens is in good working and cosmetic condition. Glass is clean and clear, no haze or scratches, mold or mildew inside, just a few dust specks but these have no effect on your images. Blades are fast and oil free. Timer lever works fine. Smoothly rotating focus and aperture rings made in Hong Kong

**Q: what kind of film does this camera take?**
A: 35mm. Get nicer film since the shots are very crisp!

**Q: Do the lights on top of the camera work? And also the arrows lights inside the view finder? If so, is it metering and controlling the shutter speed? A**
A: If you insert a battery yes, and there are no arrows inside the view finder they are on the outside only. When you select A for auto it will adjust the shutter speed and aperture

**Q: will the pictures taken from the camera be any different without the flash ?**
A: Yes. There's a lot of science to flash use and this camera has a designated shutter speed setting for flashes, but in general, flashes will always affect a photo.

Battey cover did not stay on. Focusing mechanism was not smooth, made noise, and did not work properly. Film door release did not operate properly. Exposure lights were very faint or did not show at all.

Camera fine but should come with a new usable battery since it can’t be used without a new battery and they take weeks to buy and delivered. The only batteries usable are not available anywhere but via internet and mail order. Frustrating
