Review: BIG mailbox. Good quality - This mailbox is BIG. Looks exactly like the picture and the quality is what you would expect from Whitehall. The custom plaques arrived in less than 2 weeks and we're relatively easy to install (although you need a drill bit for metal, std drill bit did not work for me). Overall, good purchase.
Review: Great product for a reasonable price - The mailbox and post are both sturdy and look aesthetically pleasing. The unit replaced our hard plastic mailbox which did not hold up well over time. The most difficult part of the installation is the 4” x 4” wooden post that you need to erect before slipping the mailbox/post over the wooden post. The standard mailbox is actually much larger than your typical mailbox, so, for most people, there is no need to upgrade the size (a standard magazine can lay flat in the mailbox). There is a minimal amount of drilling required. I do suggest that: 1) the product description included the height of the post; and 2) the company would allow us to order the custom plaques online. I had to call customer service for an issue (my issue—not the manufacturer’s), and they picked up right away and responded to a special request I made. The custom address plaques arrived quickly and look great. The surface of the post died scratch easily, so be careful when handling and installing. We purchased the optional base for the post, which I recommend. It protects the underlying wood post from the elements and looks great.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, classy, easy to install

This is my second purchase of a mailbox from this company for our current and prior home. It’s sooo much nicer than what you find at the local big-box stores! If you already have a 4x4 post set in the ground, as I did from my old box, this is literally a 10 minute install. If not, then it’s a little more work but totally worth it. Well built, nice magnetic close, and the custom address plates that they make are classy without being overly flashy.
