It features a 5.7 mil thickness for flexible application, synthetic rubber resin adhesive for strong yet residue-free hold, and a saturated black color that contrasts boldly on light surfaces while blending into dark ones. Measuring 1.5 inches wide by 60 yards long, it supports precise paint masking, clean hand tearing, and versatile use across multiple materials and projects. ## Description This all purpose masking tape does something no other color can: it disappears into dark surfaces, while also creating bold contrast on light ones. Whether you're a teacher organizing a classroom, an artist building a project, or a home decorator creating geometric wall art, FindTape JV497 Black Masking Tape is the practical, affordable choice. The saturated crepe paper backing tears cleanly by hand, no scissors needed mid-project, and the flexibility makes it easy to follow curves, wrap around edges, and create smooth borders. Write on it with any pen, marker, or pencil, and the text stays legible. Peel it up when you're done and it releases cleanly from walls, boards, glass, painted surfaces, and paper without leaving adhesive residue behind. In the classroom, it pulls triple duty: border tape for bulletin boards, labeling tape for bins and folders, and building material for STEM projects. At home, use it for precision paint masking, scrapbook borders, layout planning on floors and walls, and decorative geometric designs. Specs for confident purchasing: 5.7 mil thickness (barely-there on surfaces), 32 oz/in adhesion to stainless steel, 19 lb/in tensile strength longitudinal, 60°F–150°F operating temperature, 7% elongation. Synthetic rubber resin adhesive ensures reliable, medium-adhesion tack. ## Features - WRITABLE BLACK CRAFT TAPE: Marks cleanly with pen, marker, and pencil. Label classroom supplies, color-code folders, add borders to art projects, or create bold contrast lines for wall art and décor. Black shows up on any surface, any background. - TEARS CLEANLY BY HAND, REMOVES WITHOUT RESIDUE: Saturated crepe paper backing tears easily without scissors. Synthetic rubber resin adhesive holds securely during projects, then peels off walls, boards, paper, and glass without sticky leftovers. - CLASSROOM ESSENTIAL: Use to organize desks and folders, create bulletin board borders, mark floors for activity zones, label supply bins, or build STEM and art project structures. A go-to for teachers, art students, scrapbookers, and DIY decorators. - PRECISE LINES FOR PAINTING & HOME PROJECTS: At 5.7 mils thin and 7% elongation, this flexible black painters tape follows curves and edges cleanly. Ideal for decorative painting, geometric wall art, and masking off surfaces for clean paint lines. - QUALITY ACROSS SIZES: 32 oz/in adhesion, 19 lb/in tensile strength, operating temperature 60°F–150°F.
