If you want a perfect sword similar to this jian, you will need to spend much more.The pros:Nice grain in the folded steel.Fittings look great.Wood on handle and scabbard are nice.Cons:Blade came warped slightly to one side and edge is also slightly uneven.Scabbard only locks in place one way. If you turn the blade 90 degrees it won't fit.Tang is thinner than the space in the handle which makes a rattle.Handle came with a small crack.That being said, I was able to fix the handle issue with jb weld and epoxy, making the tang as big as the handle opening, and the epoxy keeps it in place.There is also a nut at the end of the tang that locks everything in place, and the handle is double pegged to the tang.
