Some say the lights are not bright enough. I think they could possibly be to bright. I used 6 x 9 pavers and the lights are flush with the patio. I really like these lights. There is a replaceable battery and yes you have to unscrew 6 hex screws (use a light drill to save yourself time) to turn on the paver light before you install it. The picture appears brighter then the actual due to glare but make no mistake these are bright with the 12 leds.12/14/18 - one star- after roughly 1-2 years I have gone through 3-4 of these.
