Does it fit into standard patio table** A: I don't have the measurement but I can tell you I had to remove the plastic sleeve that was inside my metal umbrella base to get it to fit, so it must be on the wider end of the scale-maybe 1 3/4 inches? The umbrella seems good quality so far. I've had it up for a week and it's sturdy and even though the fabric is lightweight it does a great job filtering bright sunlight. **Q: Can u use any base** A: I bought a standard base at Home Depot, filled it with sand and it works perfectly. I think the diameter for the rods are uniform so you should be good to go. Very lightweight, nice looking, but the wind picked it up the second day I had it, threw it down and broke to spokes. I glued them back together, tied with twine, and went on with life, running out to rescue it any time it got windy outside. Even when closed, it would get knocked over. Somehow it survived last summer, then I put it away for winter. Got it out this spring, and within a week, it was smashed up from taking flight again and landing badly.I finally decided to order one with a metal frame, and came across this one. Same size as my previous umbrella, but this has a crank and tilt feature. Love it love it love it. Much easier to handle, hasn't blown over while closed, and when I left it open a couple days ago, the wind picked it up out of the stand and tossed it across the lawn. I went running after it, and though it was a bit harder to wrestle, once I stood it back up, closed it, and bent one of the spokes back straight, it was as good as new.Love it love it love. I wanted this because it was probably a good match to my existing black and ivory umbrella. I saw multiple reviewers state the one they received was ivory, not khaki, and black and so I messaged the company and asked that they send me one that is actually ivory and black and they responded it only comes in khaki and black. Long story short, ordered it with fingers crossed and ta da! It's ivory and black. The workmanship where the black stripe is sewn onto the edge could be a lot better, the hem is sloppy, but it doesn't show if you're not looking too closely.
