They are often used as ON/OFF switches on the main power supplies for electronic devices. A maintain switch changes its position when actuated and will remain in the position until actuated again. Stays / Maintains / Latched / Lock/ Locked/ Locking in position placed. - 15 amps at 250 VAC and 20 Amps At 125 VAC or 20 Amps At 12 V DC and 10 Amps at 24 Volt DC. Also make sure you are using a switch and wires sufficient to handle the power that you are carrying. In higher draw applications, a relay may be needed.
