## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a step file that you can share so I can make a case for this?**
A: I had the same frustration, so I tried to put my own instructions based on (poorly) translated instructions I found elsewhere and experimentation. I hope this helps others.
The buttons as seen when looking at the unit

   O O O O
Mode Select/Tare [+]/High Point [-]/Low Point

Mode button – Select adjustable settings
Select/Tare button – Select display digits to change or set Tare
[+]/High point button – Increase values or set high calibration point
[-]/High point button – Decrease values or set low calibration point

Adjusting settings

The following settings can be adjusted:
-	decimal points for the readout
-	acquisition rate
-	display rate
-	calibration mode
-	reset to factory setting.

To enter parameter adjustment mode, press [Mode] button for 3 seconds. Press [Mode] button again to advance to the next parameter. Use [+], [-] buttons to change the value of the settings.

Press [Mode] for 3+ seconds to enter parameter adjustment mode.
The display will show [dot] indicating number of decimal points for readout selection. Use the [+], [-] buttons to move the active decimal point to read between 0 and 3 decimal points. The default is 1 decimal point.

Press [Mode] to advance to data acquisition rate
The display will show [ad-h]. Use the [+], [-] buttons to select a value between 1 and 100 acquisitions per second. The default is 20 acquisitions per second (although mine was 8). The [Select] button can be used to move to the next digit to the left for faster entry for large numbers.

Press [Mode] to advance to display rate
The display will show [ts]. Use the [+], [-] buttons to select a value between 0.0 and 10.0 display rate period. The default update is 0.5s. The [Select] button can be used to move to the next digit to the left for faster entry for large numbers.

Press [Mode] to advance to calibration mode
The display will show [en-b]. Use the [+], [-] buttons to change between on and off. In the on mode, the [Select] button must be pressed 3 seconds to enter calibration mode. In the off mode, the [Select] button must be pressed 10 seconds to enter calibration mode. The default is on (3 seconds).

Press [Mode] to advance to factory reset mode
The display will show [ini]. Use the [+], [-] buttons to change between on and off. In the on mode, the unit will reset to initial factory settings. In the off mode no factory reset will occur. The default is off (no factory reset).

Press [Mode] to end settings adjustments and exit to normal operation mode.
The display will show [-End].

Calibration
The unit can store the value of a known low weight and the value of a known high weight. When operating, the unit linearly interpolates and extrapolates between/from these two values.

Setting the low point
Place a known low weight or no weight on the scale/load cell.
Press [-] for 3 seconds (or 10 seconds if the calibration mode has been changed as above). Enter the value of the known weight, or 0 for no weight. The value should be in whatever units you want the measurement to occur (Kg, lb, etc.) The [Select] button can be pressed to move to the next digit to the left. Press the [Mode] button to store the value and exit to normal operation mode. The display will show [-End].

Setting the high point
Place a known high weight on the scale/load cell.
Press [+] for 3 seconds (or 10 seconds if the calibration mode has been changed as above). Enter the value of the known weight. The value should be in whatever units you want the measurement to occur (Kg, lb, etc.) The [Select] button can be pressed to move to the next digit to the left. Press the [Mode] button to store the value and exit to normal operation mode. The display will show [-End].

Setting the tare
(I'll post a subsequent answer since I reached the character limit)

**Q: Is there a cad file available? so i can use that to create a case or holder for my project**
A: Sorry sir, we don't have the cad file.

I'm calling it five stars with the caveat that you need to be able to look at the pins (every one is labeled) and realize that 5V and GND means it takes a five volt power supply. With that in mind, the board is super easy to set up. Connect the load cell (again pins are labeled) , plug in a 5V supply, and turn it on. Press second button TARE to zero. Press fourth button to set 0 reference. display should be 0. Press 1st button to store. Add a known weight. Then Press third button. Set display to the weight value. Press 1st to store. That easy.
