The cream has a thick, paste-like consistency, kind of a light gray color. It spreads on smoothly and creates a protective layer over the sore. It doesn’t sting at all; in fact, my uncle sighs in relief when I apply it, which tells me it’s soothing any raw pain he has. It’s formulated with natural ingredients (I noticed it contains stuff like zinc, magnesium oxide, and some organic oils). One thing I love is that it doesn’t have a strong medicinal odor – just a mild, almost clay-like smell that isn’t offensive.
