## Description

Product Description With the new NEOMAX travel mini tripods, Cullmann is launching a series of tripods that completely redefine the term "small".Active, young, flexible: that's how many amateur photographers are today. Equipped with CSC or high-quality compact cameras, photography is part of their lifestyle. With NEOMAX, Cullmann presents a new tripod series that is perfectly suited to these demands. The NEOMAX tripod series is characterised by three things in particular: The lightweight, compact design, flexibility of use and proven Cullmann quality. The small pack size of the tripods is due to the fact that the tripod legs can be folded through 180 Degree. Thanks to the telescopic extension, they can be set up in seconds. The tripod legs can be adjusted to three positions, including a ground-level macro setting. The anodised aluminium tube from which the tripod legs and centre column are made makes the tripod stable and light at the same time. The NEOMAX 260 weighs only 660 g, but offers a comfortable extension height of 128 cm. The tried-and-tested ball head with quick-release system and the robust rubber feet round off the equipment, as does the sturdy transport bag. Box Contains Cullmann NEOMAX 260 travel tripod; ball head; QRC system; transport bag

Review: Good but overpriced - I should state at the outset that I bought this at a much lower price than the present desertcart price. As a sub-£50 tripod it is pretty good, competing with the likes of the Hama Traveller pro. It is very light and compact, decently stable when extended, and the tiny ball head is surprisingly good (also removable, if you're into mix and match). The centre column arrangement is strange, and the extension is really not worth having, as you gain a bit of height but lose stability. And when you are asked £69 for it, you may be also looking at more capable tripods such as the Slik Sprint Mini II, and the Cullmann doesn't look quite so good. In the end, if it's small and light you need above all, the Cullmann may still be the choice. Update: I have discovered that the centre column unscrews for removal and the head can be fitted direct to the column base. This makes the tripod a bit shorter but much more stable. Cullmann (and desertcart) really should mention this.
Review: Good for me, not necessarily for everyone. - As someone with chronic health problems I need to keep my camera kit as light as possible, so I jumped at the chance to get this at a discounted price of £25. It is very light and easy to carry around, though it doesn't feel very sturdy, especially at full extension, and the various screws and things are covered with cheap, rough plastic that can rub your fingers raw after a fair amount of use. It holds my Sony A6000 just fine, but in anything stronger than a breeze I'd want to weigh down the centre column. I would have been disappointed if I'd paid full price for it but for what did, and with my particular needs, it's been pretty great. The other use I can think of for it is throwing it in a bag when you don't think you'll need a tripod but wouldn't mind hedging your bets, otherwise I'd consider something a bit heavier with a bit more height.

### ⭐ Faulty Leg Not Locking
*by R***H on 26 April 2018*

Awful leg did not lock despite trying on multiple occasions, it seems one of the locking mechanisms was damaged.
