Wire brushed it all down and treated with this to convert the rust then used a spray on wax, like Bilt Hamber to protect the metal. This stuff works perfectly, must let it dry, around 6 hours between coats but the one can did most of my under carriage. This stuff comes highly recommended as an alternative to other products. Review: Great stuff does exactly what it says on the tin.... - Small hole caused by rust in foot well of defender 110 with some rust around the hole. Wire brushed main rust but left some for binding used dinitrol which left a strong rust free surface to enable filling and spray painting. Great stuff ## Features - Causes serious eye irritation. - Causes skin irritation. - Extremely flammable aerosol. - May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure. - Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00BEFQKEU | | Best Sellers Rank | 9,138 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) 62 in Rust Converters & Rust Removers | | Brand | Dinitrol | | Colour | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 27 Reviews | | Item Form | Paste | | Item form | Paste | | Liquid Volume | 400 Millilitres | | Liquid volume | 400 Millilitres | | Manufacturer | Dinitrol | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1100801 | | Material | Epoxy resin, organic chelate base | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Surface Recommendation | metal, countertop, sink, window, door, bathtub, pipe, gutter | | Surface recommendation | metal, countertop, sink, window, door, bathtub, pipe, gutter | | Unit Count | 400.0 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Water resistance level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Dinitrol - **Colour:** Black - **Item form:** Paste - **Liquid volume:** 400 Millilitres - **Surface recommendation:** metal, countertop, sink, window, door, bathtub, pipe, gutter ## Images ![Dinitrol RC900 400ml Rust Converter Paste for Metal, Ideal for Converting Rust before Painting - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Jv7Ygp9uL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent rust converter. *by D***S on 8 October 2013* I used this to treat the rust on my Alfa Romeo Brera (I know yes, surprise, rust on an Alfa...).
