After much research, as well as trial and error, I gave this brand another chance, and I'm glad I did. The new device has a properly working temp display. Solid construction. Hold temperature REALLY well. I tried soft sided cases, many leaked as the gel pack melted!! This thing works best! Well ... except my newest injectable pen is unnecessarily freaking HUGE and I'm not sure it will fit in this container with the frozen gel pack. So, I'm not yet sure what I'm going to do about that. Note to manufacturer: Please, make this in a larger size? For the stupid FAT injectable pens?? (I mean... The medication is for psoriatic arthritis which damages fingers joints. Fat utensils and such are easier to use so ... I guess I can see how they justify the size but it's super inconvenient for storage and travel.)

Outstanding. Use it all the time when I travel to safely transport my insulin pens. When you get to where you going just put the whole thing in the refrigerator. The ice pack stays cold enough for an 18hr trip.
