I thought I might build in a little extra headroom for future upgrades, so I looked for a 500 watt model, edging towards Corsair. But thanks to the (at the time of writing) pandemic lockdown, it seemed like everyone else had the same idea! This was the only reasonably priced PSU of any sort that I could get, so it wasn't exactly my first choice. Having said that I'm extremely happy with my purchase. It is VERY quiet. I cannot hear it above the noise of my case and CPU fans, and I have had no problems one week into my build. Being a non-modular design, you may be concerned about cable management. I'm not, and I leave all my cables free inside the case, but I don't think you'd have any problems if that's your thing. The cables and connectors all worked as expected and seemed to be quite high quality. So, not what I was initially looking for, but turned out to be a great purchase. Does it come with all the cables?** A: Yes it comes with all the cables required and is non modular type, my motherboard had a 14 pin power header so I had to buy a 24pin to 14 pin converter off ebay to use this power supply. It's quiet and well built. I do miss the modular cables from the EVGA PSU it replaced as they are easier to work with and make the PC look tighter, but it's not a big issue at this price.
