**Q: When does this product expire? i used a translation app to translate but the expiration date is actually the net weight. bought in june of 2020. thx!**
A: some LOBO products have a "use by date" and some dont.. The packages I have show about a two year shelf life, and others are not marked at all.  BTW the current (2020) Buddhist calendar year  is 2563.  Also, they use a day/month/year format so our 21 December 2020 is written in Thailand as 21/12/63, so if you see number ending in 61 or 62 or 63 its probably expired..  Good luck

I have to agree with other reviewers that this mix has been the closest I can come to making restaurant-quality tom kha gai at home. A couple of tips from my experience with this: 1) Do be sure to heat the packet in hot water (even hot tap water) so the contents come out of the envelope 2) Do not use regular chicken broth in place of water for the recipe on the envelope or it will be too salty. You might be able to get away with low sodium chicken or vegetable broth, but the packet itself has enough salt. 3) Use good quality coconut milk. I won't say which brand, but I used a can of very cheap coconut milk the first time I made this thinking it wouldn't matter. It did matter. Spend the money on a decent can of coconut milk. 4) Per the recipe on the packet, you will need a bit more coconut milk than is typically in one can. You can get away with one can and extra water, but coconut milk is what makes this recipe fantastic. 5) I add the juice of about a half a lime to the soup as well, and also some slices of fresh ginger.
