Review: DELICIOUS - AND THAT'S A BAD THING. - These are every bit as good as they used to be but not exactly the same. The hard gelatine has a very slightly oily texture compared to fifty years ago - but this does not in any way soften the sweet or compromise the flavour. It might have been changed to stop the gelatine from sticking to teeth as much. But these sports mixtures are the real deal and you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately this means they disappear all too quickly. I believe they have changed the black ones from a liquorice flavour - which never quite went with the fruity ones - to something that is fruity (which works better). All in all a very satisfactory purchase - but I will wait a couple of weeks before buying my next bag. I just don't trust myself near them.

These are every bit as good as they used to be but not exactly the same. The hard gelatine has a very slightly oily texture compared to fifty years ago - but this does not in any way soften the sweet or compromise the flavour. It might have been changed to stop the gelatine from sticking to teeth as much. But these sports mixtures are the real deal and you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately this means they disappear all too quickly. I believe they have changed the black ones from a liquorice flavour - which never quite went with the fruity ones - to something that is fruity (which works better). All in all a very satisfactory purchase - but I will wait a couple of weeks before buying my next bag. I just don't trust myself near them.
