The simple yet effective design is timeless. You really don't need to spend more on a jacket if you are looking for a nice pea coat.Sizing - the XXL states that it should fit a 43 to 46 inch chest. Well I am a 48 inch chest and it is a comfortable fit on me, there is room to wear a jumper underneath (not that you would want to). Based on other reviewers comments, the sizing seems to be inconsistent from jacket to jacket, but I am not going to mark it down a star as my particular jacket fits just as I would want it to.I would recommend this coat to anyone - warm enough, smart enough, high wool content and excellent value.Buy it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly good quality for the price *by J***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 January 2023* I had to return the first one I got. I am a 40” chest and I ordered the L which was too big especially the arms which were too long. I returned it and ordered the M which is a perfect fit all round. The sleeves are perfect and also the shoulders. I can wear my chunky Aran polo-neck jumper under it which makes it a snug cozy fit. The finish and fabric weight is really good especially for the price. It looks really good! Best jacket/coat I’ve bought for a long time. If you get the size right, it’ll fit very well and look and feel really good. At this price i expected it to be a little utiliterian and it is. The hemming is crude but tidy. The material if very serviceable, close weaved,smooth and feels as though it could easily withstand a blizzard. The quilted lining is a little loose in places but is very effective in making this coat very warm. Front hand warmer pockets are deep and excelent. The high collar is superb in cold winds. One inside button is hanging on by only 2 threads so will need oversowing to make sure it is not lost.
