The pieces are magnetic which helps if the board gets jogged and gives the impression of weight to the pieces, which are nicely shaped and aren't too small for larger hands to play. The board is a slightly metallic effect black/silver which has a nice subtle look to it. It comes with Draughts pieces too, but I probably won't use those and the instructions only cover the basic moves of Chess pieces. Great value for money and arrived in very good time from this seller.

Overall mission accomplished in inspiring the game of chess in the next generation ;)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap and no frills chess set.

Won't say too much, as it's a simple chess set. The surface of the board can scratch easily and the hinges look a little weak, but you will be OK if you are careful.The pieces are made of the same material as flexible fridge magnets, you just carefully press them out, put them on the board and there you go. Ideal for travelling. You get a leaflet included with the basic rules of chess, but you can get a library book out which is better. Can't complain for the price, good value.
