The branches were about 8 inches in circumference and 7 foot long and as hard as iron. My normal pruners wouldn't cut through them and it was almost impossible to saw through them either. I thought I would just have to pay someone to take them away, but first I looked on Amazon to see what there was in the way of tree-cutters. This seemed a good option, reasonably priced and had some good reviews, so I ordered one - which arrived very quickly. I unpacked it, went immediately into the garden just to try it out and in less than ten minutes one branch had become seven logs. I was astonished how easily it cut through. I hadn't intended to cut the branch up there and then, I had just meant to try it out! But I soon had all the branches cut up into logs, which we will keep to burn on the fire in winter. I found myself going round the garden to see what else I could prune or cut up! So I am delighted with the result. When I have sawed through branches in the past, I have usually ended up with blisters on my hand and a sore shoulder for a few days afterwards, but not with this neat little tool. It says in the instructions to wipe it with oil after each use and so I have squirted some WD40 on it each time, which seems to work. The only negative comment....and this is the fault of the manufacturer rather than the seller...is that it doesn't give you any instructions or diagram as to how to close it up after use. Really it is common sense, but it would be very easy to lose a finger if you did it too quickly and carelessly, so you do need to do it slowly and carefully the first time you work out how to do it. Apart from that, it is a great little saw and looks as if it will be in use for years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Cutting (h)edge for green fingers. *by C***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2018* My garden has what's turned out to be;too many fanthom Lehlandi bushes for privacy reasons I guess.Over the years they have grown out of proportion to become near beanstalk size for giants to climb down it seems.I have a cordless clipper which serves its purpose for the thinner branches.now this all purpose branch cutter comes into its own.It is just the job for the thicker branches and cuts into them(with a bit of elbow grease from the cutter)with speed and efficiency.The cutting edge is presently very sharp and removes the unwanted branches without too much effort.Once task is completed it folds up and storage is easily achieved.on the whole a very good branch cutter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent saw at a very good price. *by R***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 September 2017* I had a very old and well established hedge to get rid of and was looking for something capable of the task. I could neither afford nor did I wish to use a chainsaw and so splashed out on this folding hand saw. A great purchase. It disposed of the hedge with ease and so looking to really test it's mettle I decided to take down an old plum tree that produced very little fruit. It coped with the branches with easily but I was not looking forward to tackling the six inch diameter trunk. Even that solid piece of still growing wood succumbed to this saw's abilities with relative ease.It is easy to hold, the handle well shaped and easy to grip, for use with either hand. The blade is excellent and sharp and even after the hard work this saw has already seen remains sharp.
