Cannot watch a video with the pillow standing because it tips over. Her favorite thing about this product is the size of the holder. Being that she is only three this kindle holder allows her to keep track of the kindle much easier; "Look for the big blue pillow staring at you". It does not help with any damage from dropping since the front is heavy and never lands on the pillow part. The plastic covering has not hindered the functioning of the kindle at all. As a parent I worry about the velcro strap. I don't think it will work for too long.
