The problem is they way the original bands are made they continually pull my arm hair. So, I wanted to find a replacement band. Because many bands now have the Quick Release springs, it is very easy to change. For my 1980 Seiko I now have both the steel band and a black leather when I want a more dressy tuxedo look. Takes less than 2 minutes to change. This review will be for the Formosa Stainless link band. It was very easy to install and came with the tools should I need to add link or two. I often have to have a larger band in the summer. The one I choose looks very much like it was original to the watch. It is a very comfortable fit with no hair pull. For those who are purists about watches, it does no good to have the original band if it is not a comfortable fit. This band has a smooth transition to the watch. The clasp has a firm secure snap closure. The band has a clean sleek appearance that will work well for my daily wear. So, for the price of a second watch band, I have expanded my collection to appear to have an additional watch. Mine arrived with the band, extra links, tools to add the links and additional lug pins and band link pins. For my 1971 Timex all the way through my 1989 Seiko, this band design is a very appropriate fit. Glad I selected this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Band but the Black Finish Wears Quickly *by T***R on August 20, 2026* I’ve been using this band with my Garmin Venu 2 for about 17 days. Once you understand how the links come apart, sizing is not too difficult, and the included tool makes the process much easier. It still takes some finagling to get the fit exactly where you want it. One thing to pay close attention to before ordering is the band width your smartwatch actually uses. This band comes in a lot of different sizes, and they are not interchangeable just because they look similar. I ordered the wrong size the first time, and it was too small to properly connect to both mounting points on my Garmin Venu 2. I had to return it and order the correct size. Check your watch specifications before ordering instead of guessing. Once sized properly, it is comfortable and feels secure on the wrist. The clasp has been solid, and I have not had any issues with it coming loose. The band also has a good weight to it. It does not feel heavy enough to weigh your wrist down, but it still feels substantial enough to feel like a proper metal watch band. My main complaint is the finish. I wear my watch on my right wrist, and the part of the band that regularly comes into contact with a desk or table has already started losing some of the black finish. Instead of staying black, those areas are turning more of a smoky gray. It does not look terrible, but the difference is noticeable and takes away from the cleaner black appearance. Overall, I would probably rate it around 3.5 stars if Amazon allowed that. Since it does not, I am giving it 4 stars.
