Better than Metal's given the price.Reviews complain about the appearance but the shoes are foot shaped, like Altra running shoes.That is excellent.Some complain about the tightness over the foot but that helps due to a lack of metatarsal strap. Gives feedback to keep the foot down and helps to do so.The sticky effect (huge benefit) isnt really from the suction cup tread but the difference in firmness between the edges of the sole and the center. That creates a grabbing effect with the floor.Where Chuck Taylors arent great for running (despite being the same sole as minimalist shoes) due to a rubber toe and no room for the foot to expand, these have corrected the shortcomings, making them much more versatile.Materials are top notch. Fit is great if you actually know your true shoe size. Laces tighten consistently. Flexibility is noticeable despite the firm sole. The low top is a better option than high tops given zero need for ankle stability, especially if one combines slow and fast lifts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great shoe but maybe not for the cardio days or agility aspect of my work outs. Unfortunately I boughtthem for a combination cross fit and cardio (think P90x) training. The wide forefoot makes them about as agile as a swim fin. That being said for any of the lifting or balancing core work they are tremendous. These are well made very attractive and super comfortable, but not a training shoe I would ever choose. That being said I kept them since they are so great looking for casual wear.On an aside after an hour of intense working out they also get very hot due to the material choices. Not a badthing because I am certain they will hold up for those grueling sessions if needed. Be advised very wide stable fore foot low profile shoe, and while it is a wide shoe I would consider it a low volume shoe, if you have a high instep there is little room between tongue and toe box. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No arch = great for powerlifting, potentially a daily alternative for Chucks. *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2015* Overall:These shoes are FLAT with a very small rise to the heel. These are powerlifting shoes (I wear them for squats and deadlifts) but I could see them becoming daily shoes for people who like Chucks but want an updated design. I'm on the verge of ordering several pairs for daily wear to keep these clean for the gym.My Reebok Crossfit Lite TR (7 Mens) compared to my Converse Chucks (7.5 Mens):Reeboks shoes have a wider toe area that doesn't squish my foot.Reebok's heel is skinnier and has more support (thicker material).Reebok has a padded tongue so you can go looser with the laces and they don't want to flop off.Reebok has "proper length" laces compared to Chucks where I'm double-knotting just so they don't drag on the ground.I also have a 7.5 pair of Reebok Lite TR high tops but they are too long. Turns out the extra .5 size in Chucks I wear is specifically to get the extra width I need. No worries, the 7.5 Reeboks are in the closet until winter when thicker socks can take up the slack.UPDATE: I bought a size 7.5 in the low top and they fit perfectly. Maybe the high tops I got were over-sized...
