## Description

The Rainguard Water Sealers Wood Sealer forms an invisible barrier that protects wood surfaces from water, oil, stains, efflorescence, harsh weather, and contaminants, ensuring lasting durability. The water repellent absorbs into unpainted and unsealed wood to prevent damage such as rotting from water exposure, cracking from freeze-thaw cycles, and deterioration caused by moisture, efflorescence, stains, and long-term wear. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, the waterproofer protects the look of wood floors, decks, walkways, fences, patio furniture, garden fences, and any porous wood surface with a natural, no-gloss finish. Drying within 1 hour at 75°F (24°C), it covers up to 200 sq.ft./gallon, depending on surface porosity. For optimal results, apply 2 flood coats with a handheld pump sprayer. I also used this on cedar fencing and have seen no sign of termites, unlike my neighbors, literally all of whose fences are turning to sawdust. I didn't want to repeat their mistake since termites never stop in our mild climate (coastal southern California). I treated all of my wood with borate and then used this sealant to prevent the solution from leaching out. The fact that it waterproofed the wood was a huge bonus. **Q: Slippery when wet?  my father used thompsons on his deck and it was dangerous after rain or kids in the pool for months as it was slippery as snot.**
A: My cedar deck was "just as before" following application... except the rain beaded up on the surface.

**Q: can this be used on a pressure treated wood deck that is in contact with the ground?**
A: Yes, this can be applied to pressure-treated lumber provided that it darkens when wet.

**Q: does create a warm hue? or does it not change original wood color?**
A: Our penetrating Wood Sealer dries clear without changing the appearance of the wood.

**Q: have a black bamboo bench that I want to seal from water & use outdoors - will this product work for that? is it available in spray bottle?**
A: You can mix it and put in your own sprayer.  Best way to apply in my opinion.

Product as described. Won't argue value on it in comparison to other products in the same category on the market cause personal opinion of their all over-priced is different then it being worth the value for the current market. However product worked well as intended. Can't argue that. Does require time to dry good and possibly two or three coats.
