If you need the tare function that's a problem. You can tare a bowl. Take it to a counter to prepare and add an ingredient. Go back to the scale to get ingredient weight and if it took a few minutes your tare is gone because the scale turned itself off and lost the tare value. Very annoying. Basically you can't take the bowl off the scale which is not the way I'm used to working. My old scale didn't have this problem.Also the indent on the back for hanging the scale is useless. I weighed some butter that was from the store at 4 oz. It weighed 3.88 oz on the scale. Im not concerned about accuracy. For the price i figured it wouldnt work for more than 6 months but still serves its purpose. Pleased.I've had this scale for less than a month and the printing for the buttons rubbed off. That's ok though, not a big deal for me as I know what it's for. Work pretty well, I bought a .93 lb slab of salmon at the store and this scale weighed it at .89 lbs. It is pretty accurate.
