The material isn't the softest thing you'll ever feel but it's not uncomfortable by any means. It fit my duvet perfectly, I only wish that the duvet I put inside had loops are ties to tie it to the cover, but that's not a fault of this product. The pillow cases fit perfectly around king size pillows with enough room to fold the pillow in without it bulging.My only complaint about this product, and why it got 4 instead of 5 stars, is because there is a weird stitch which creates a very noticeable pull in the end closest to the zipper enclosure of the duvet cover. It's about 1/3 of the way up the blanket so I've done my best to keep it just at the lip of the foot of the bed so it's not as noticeable.
