The red cap does not have any holes it it .The built up vapour travells from under the cap and escapes outside .But the product still works .

A: It can be fixed provided the Size of Cork and 20 litre bottle hole matches , I use bigger size cork for with 20 Litre can

A: The airlocks sometimes come with caps with holes, and sometimes with red caps with holes. There is no use of the cap as such as the liquid in the airlock will not allow anything to pass in.
