BE AWARE THAT DEPENDING WHAT TYPE OF BATTERIES YOU GET IT MIGHT NOT TOUCH THE POSITIVE CONTACTS WHICH MEANS LIGHT WILL NOT WORK. I got what I thought were genuine panasonic batteries but they turned out to be fakes as most 18650's are. The batteries have a very short almost flat on the positive side. Once I put in light it would not turn on. I assumed the light was defective so contacted vendor and they sent me another one and same result. After looking carefully the upper plastic lip above opening for battery was not allowing the Positive side to make good contact but you can't really see. I fixed problem by applying a dap of soldier to Positive contact and then both units worked fine. Just make sure you get either more narrow batteries or batteries with longer contact on positive side.

As the not-so-proud owner of at least four headlamps from a varied of sources, including some that advertised their use of Cree bulbs, I was leery of buying another one; however, these Boruit headlamps deserve a five star rating, and a place in your personal sports luggage. The primary light illuminates well out to about 100 feet in the woods, and the two satellite lamps provide additional wide-angle lighting to create a "light cocoon" extending in front of you. The headband features a full one inch width, and plenty of expansion for attachment to hard hats, helmets, or what have you.This package includes the 4000mAh 18650 batteries; but I prefer the 6000 mAh Ultra-Fire units. On our first night outing, my dog and I romped in the woods for over an hour, with no apparent loss of brightness from the headlamp.For the modest cost, I have not encountered a better unit, even at well over twice the price. Buy it. You will not regret it.

I purchased this headlamp mainly because a co-worker had one that I was able to check out. I've had it a few months, and I'm using EBL batteries. It is definitely one of my better finds, and I've been very happy with the purchase! I mainly use the 1 or 2 lamp settings, as 3 is rarely needed. With fresh batteries this can be blindingly bright! I can do without the strobe, but I wish it had a red lamp...I have a couple of suggestions though... The headlamp does come with a charger, but because of the size of the batteries, and the length of charge time, an additional charger may be necessary. I'm constantly rotating 3 pairs of batteries that last more than a day under heavy usage, to multiple days under varied usage.Overall I am very pleased!

Thats the first thing i said when i turned this " Bad Larry " on !! Unbelievably bright , long lasting , you plug it in when the battery goes low , simple and easy .Think about the " hands free " option vs a flashlight or a plug in light . Im an Electrician by trade , and i personally own 3 of these and always have one charged and ready everyday . I work in a lot of dark spaces , like some of you do , and this product is awesome . They now have a 6000 lumen one that is nice !

Amazon delivery was quick and the package arrived in perfect condition, though I was less than delighted with the contents. I was replacing a 1,500 lumen headlamp that died after it was dropped. This headlamp is supposed to be 5,000 lumens, though I can emphatically say it is NOT three times as bright as my previous headlamp, and I seriously question that is is 5,000 lumens. One thing that buyers need to consider before making this purchase is the size of the elastic headband. I put the headlamp on and immediately found it to be very uncomfortable. After investigating things I found that it was already extended as far as it would go and I can not imagine wearing it for an extended time. My hat size is 6.75", and I know that there are a lot of people with larger heads than mine, so I know that this would be even more uncomfortable for them. All things considered, I would say do not buy it,

I threw my shoulder out trying to pat myself on the back for ordering this light! When it heals up I will try again because this is THE BEST headlight I've owned. It literally lights up the night and the next night too! LOL! Seriously though, this thing fits well and the power button is convenient and the light is AMAZING from this headlight. It is a bit overpowering if you just need a small amount of light though so if you need one for indoor navigating at night, buy something else, but if you need the Sun to come out at night this is your light!

This light is okay, but not really best for my purposes. It was tested in the backyard of a country house with a lake, late at night on a moonless sky, which was pitch black.The light lit up the entire hillside a good hundred yards at least, but it's more of a flood. Better for a bicycle headlamp than using in the woods.

pretty junky. Not very bright. Did not come as per the picture with the clear plastic liner. It was not completely assembled in the box , the parts rattling around loose. It doesn't come with batteries ( prolly a blessing because it's so crappy any batteries they'd provided might have just started a fire). It really is as bulky as it looks and once you mount it you will see why this is bad. It limits your ability to fit in tight places. I would not trust the charger. I sort of bet it can't tell if the batteries are up to charge or not and you know that's a fire risk.It does have that stupid strobe effect to keep the gangsters so intimidated they will forget they have knives and guns ( lol). I bought it to illuminate things when my hands are busy, the headlamp part does tilt, but it also flops so that's crap too. All in all if you buy this, you will get what you paid for. Junk.
