It is trim, percolates well and provides a soft next to skin surface. The face side of the fabric has soft double napped bamboo fleece, the back of the fabric is a smooth soft moisture wicking polyester designed to rapidly disburse wetness across your soaker. There's more fabric it's woven to then the actual bamboo fibers. There was even less after one wash. If you can imagine a person going bald on 80% of his or her head, that's pretty much what this fleece is like.
