It worked fine. I then used it when showering and was really impressed with the design. The plastic backing behind the bristles prevents mold/mildew from developing at the base and discoloring the wood. The cloth strap helps keep the brush in your hand when using, even when slippery with soap. The raised nodules between the bristles promote massage the surface of the skin, which may help promote better circulation. I use the brush on my legs, especially my calves, to help stimulate movement of lymph and blood upward back into my upper body. The bristles are also sturdy enough to give a decent foot scrub.
