I like that there is a wider range of recipes to choose from and it's interesting to see the recipes from different regions of France. I think there are a lot more recipes that I would make in this book than in her Paris one. There's a lot of variety with vegetarian and meat dishes and not as many French-specific ingredients that are difficult or expensive to find in the US. I still recommend the Paris book but this one is another must-have.If you are deciding between this or the Paris book, I think this is much better choice. My only complaint is that the US edition has weird measurements. Some of the recipes include the metric system, which I prefer, while others use the US system with no conversions. This is frustrating, especially when making desserts which require more accuracy than cup measurements. This is an error on the publisher's part and doesn't reflect poorly on Rachel in anyway. I will likely purchase the UK edition to save myself the trouble of converting some of the dessert recipes back to metric measurements. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m Heading For France, with This Book 🇫🇷 *by C***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 27, 2017* If you’re familiar with Rachel Khoo and have watched her television shows that feature cooking, you will know about her time living in France. This book is divided by regions: Brittany, Bordeaux, Basque, Provence, Lyon, & Alsace. Each of these regions has certain influences that make them known for certain ingredients which produce elegant, yet oh so simplistic dishes.With each region, Rachel gives you a brief summary with her illustrations before delving into recipes which are all photographed by David Loftus. She really takes you on her journey.One of my favorite savory dishes is the “Poulet Rôti Au Vin Rouge” or “Red Wine Roast Chicken” and “Tian Provençal” or “Provençal Vegetable Bake.” Also many pastry driven recipes which are just sinful but delicious. Oh my, the Brioche! Yum ### ⭐⭐⭐ Modeling portfolio with incidental recipes *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 26, 2017* Sigh. I think my issue may be that I don't have a crush on the author. I made the mistake of believing all the positive (dare I say 'gushing') reviews and ordering several of her books. The recipes aren't US friendly in terms of obtaining ingredients easily. Luckily the author is visually appealing as there are so many photographs of her that I felt I was looking at a modeling portfolio or the "I love me" diary of a narcissist. Of all the cookbooks by this author, I can only recommend the volume on making granola. I've never seen an episode of her show, so I can't say if this is similar to what is presented on tv.
