If I'm going on a really long ride and the weather looks iffy, I might wrap the phone in an extra layer of plastic wrap to be safe.I'm very confident that it will shed most normal rain showers with no threat to the phone.It also comes with two pieces of removable foam to enable you to get a snug fit for the phone. A nice touch.The touchscreen works well through the cover and is clearly visible.Overall, a terrific deal for the price. Ordered this moiunt for my wife to mount her HTC one smart phone to her bicycle to track her rides. Order was shipped fast. Was just as described in listing. And the removable case from the mount is so removable, that the case falls off will any little bump. Couldnt get the case to stay mounted. Had to put a lanyard on phone so it wouldn't fall to the ground while she rides. I suppose you could glue the case to the mount, but that would defeat the purpose of purchasing a removable case!
