I say this because there's a learning curve. First of all, be sure to use the ice molds and buy extra to have on hand. You can use ice cubes, but your hands tend have to hold it down firmly and the top rolls around too much, plus the ice is a courser grind. When you use the molds it comes out soft and fluffy - absolutely perfect and grinds very smoothly. I am absolutely addicted to ice but don't want to ruin my teeth so this is the perfect alternative. I probably go through three ice molds a day. This machine is durable and works flawlessly. It is a great value and you can use it with low calorie sugar-free flavoring, plain, or with the Kona ice syrups, which are of course absolutely yummy!
