Let's be honest...if you are shopping for easy, ready to heat microwaveable meals, you shouldn't expect it to taste as good as homemade unless you like to be disappointed!! However, we bought these for in between meals for our teenaged son, who always seems to be hungry, or for those times when you need to eat but aren't starved or motivated to cook something from scratch. First of all, as I mentioned before, these are shelf stable and do not require refrigeration! Secondly, they are so easy to use and heat up quickly in the microwave (time will vary based upon the strength & power of your machine). There is a large ice-cream sized scoop of mashed potatoes and combined with the meatloaf sliced size with gravy, they are very filling meals. The meatloaf slice was fairly thick and textured to look just like a piece of homemade loaf.
