I’d say it’s what I would call a cooks knife. I hate trying to work with a full size kitchen knife, this for me is just the right size and length, but more importantly weight and balance, though everyone’s opinion on this is different. The next size down is larger than a paring knife, and the next size up is a full size kitchen knife.
