After he told me about how much he liked them and the fact he didn't have to worry about taking them down in the rain we wanted them for our deck. After looking around and comparing we ended up getting these ones by Sound Appeal instead. And I have to say I am really glad that we did. These guys are a great value and my husband says they sound much better than the Yamaha's. They offer great sound in all ranges and even a pretty good bass for its size. Very easy to install and the mounts securely hold the speakers in place. The look is very nice; a glossy black is not an eye sore at all hanging up off the house. I am very shocked that such a well made product can be such a good price and that's what really made me happy about this buy. You won't regret buying these. I bought these as a gift for a friends porch, and they fulfilled my needs perfectly. Although these may be lacking the range, fullness, and immersion that comes with higher priced equipment, they are fantastic for the price!! If you don't want to spend a lot and want durable outdoor sound system, go for these and get a subwoofer if possible as it will really give you a good listening experience. Mounting is a breeze, although the mounting bracket was a little flimsy and slightly bent.
