They can apparently be used in my truck but I haven't tried that yet-I don't usually change boots in the field! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice warmer for getting you ski boots toasty on the drive up to the slopes. *by H***S on February 24, 2024* I live about a two hour drive from most Tahoe ski areas. I have a Tesla Model Y which has an outlet in the trunk area. I bought this to warm my boots on the way up. My ski boots are super stiff and hard to get on when they are cold. It works perfectly for that purpose warming the boots to about 100 degrees in two hours. It’s always nice to start a ski day with warm feet. I have never used it for drying my boots but, it puts out a pretty good amount of heat so, I can’t see why it wouldn’t eventually dry a pair of boots. My one complaint is that it isn’t a very sturdy build. The hinge is fragile and easily comes apart if you aren’t gentle. I found this out the hard way when I tried to pull the heater out of the boot too quickly. The plastic didn’t break, the hinge joint just isn’t designed very well and it came apart. I didn’t force anything or pull very hard. The hinge design is just a bit flimsy for something like this. I had to remove a screw to get the hinge back together. Fortunately, the cord which runs through the hinge joint didn’t get pulled out of the bottom half. It very easily could have.
