The bend in the end is a little annoying though because longer splinters and things kept getting stuck in it which were hard to get out. I guess they were trying to make it more ergonomic or something, but I kind of wish it was just straight. I had to switch the threaded end with the one from my original hose (perfect fit) but it was not difficult and has not come loose. I like the slightly curved end as I mostly vacuum standing water and use to clean out the car; the angle of it makes using the tools more comfortable. It is still gentle enough of a bend to have passed a ball point pen all the way through to the tank without getting hung up in the hose. It is long enough to leave the vacuum on one side of the car and easily reach the other side as well as the rear seat area without moving the vacuum.
