It also has an emergency call button on the back which means it doesn't even need to be opened if the situation ever arises. The clamshell design means he no longer inadvertently calls people without realising (he used to keep forgetting to lock his keypad). It has plenty of features to make life easier and is very attractive both to look at and hold. To be honest, at the price I'm beginning to wonder if I really want to move up to a Smartphone for myself, or if I'll just buy one of these for myself too!***Addendum**I went ahead and bought a white version for myself. The clamshell cover broke in under 6 months,and the runaround I'm getting from the (very polite) seller is making me very, very angry. If you're going to buy one, check the company's ratings very thoroughly. Her eyesight isn't too good and she was scared of it at first but it really is very simple and after a couple of days she got her confidence with it. She is delighted with it. Note that the emergency button on the back can be disabled if desired. I got a giffgaff simcard which went in no problem and it means that she gets free calls to other giffgaff numbers, like me, .Because there's no internet, there's no fussing about with setting it up. However I have set up an account in her name on my computer so that I can top up for her.
